Hundreds of residents of Raqqa,  members of civil and military institutions, tribal notables, political parties, and the Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council gathered in front of the Children’s Hospital in the center of Raqqa city, and then set off on a rally toward Women’s Square.

The crowd of people roamed the main streets in the city of Raqqa, carrying pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading (The freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the freedom of oppressed peoples); They also chanted slogans condemning the isolation imposed on the leader (No to the isolation imposed on Leader Ocalan) and chants of (Down with Turkish fascism) and (Down with the Turkish occupation).

The co-chair of the Executive Council in Raqqa, Meshalb al-Turkan said: “The global campaign of Leader Abdullah Ocalan began on the tenth of October 2023, and the campaign adopted the slogan of physical freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

Al-Turkan explained: “The global campaign has many forms that have gone beyond the usual methods in the past. As for NE Syria, human and legal forums and conferences were organized and telegrams and messages were sent abroad, such as the United Nations, the International Security Council, the International Criminal Court, Amnesty International, the Human Rights Council and the Committee against Torture launched a campaign to collect signatures in NE Syria.

Al-Turkan added“The alleged disciplinary penalties are a violation of internal and international laws, and the severity, violence and deprivation against the leader."

In her turn, the administrator of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council, Kenana Abdo, said: “It has been 25 years since the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan. All the conspirators’ concern is to obstruct the implementation of the democratic nation project in the Middle East, by imposing isolation on the leader after he became a global symbol for freedom, peace and coexistence among peoples.”

Abdo made the point clear: “The history and intellectual path of the leader’s struggle prove that he wanted to get rid of the contradictions existing in society and power, establish a new societal intellectual system, and provide a better life.”
