Internal Forces capture ISIS mercenary 

The Internal Security Forces reported, through a statement, that their forces and the forces of the Counter-Terrorism Units were able to arrest an ISIS mercenary.

The statement stated:

“Our forces in the General Security Service and our Special Forces H.A.T, with the support of the International Coalition, arrested an ISIS official in the village of Gharibah in the al-Sur area in the town of al-Shaddadi.

Within the framework of the security operations of our forces in pursuing the remnants of ISIS cells and terrorist groups, and after monitoring and follow-up by the Public Security Service, our H.A.T. special forces were able, through a qualitative operation, to arrest an ISIS member in the countryside of the town of al-Shaddadi, during a raid on his hiding place at dawn today, Tuesday, April 16.

During the inspection, our forces found the following materials:

- Kalashnikov weapon number 1

- Kalashnikov stores, number 6

- 9 mm pistol

– 3 pistol magazines

- Kalashnikov ammunition number 30

– Military sleeve number 2

-2 mobile phones

Our forces are completing investigation procedures with the detainee to transfer him and the seized items to the competent judiciary.”
