Intellectuals: leader transformed Imrali prison into a square, center for national cultural radiation
Intellectuals in the North and East Syria region confirmed that Leader Abdullah Ocalan turned Imrali prison into an arena and center for national cultural radiation, and that the tightening of isolation against the leader pushes segments of society to search more into the leader’s ideas.

The momentum of events and activities demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, who is detained in Turkey, increases year after year, the latest of which is the global campaign that was launched on December 10, 2023, in 74 centers around the world, and has expanded to extend to more than 100 centers.
Intellectuals of Jazira Canton of North and East Syria confirm that the momentum for demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan has increased, because he turned Imrali prison into an arena and center of national cultural radiation, from which emerges the philosophy of peaceful living, civil peace, and equality.
The Kurdish political activist, Muhammad Nouri al-Ahmad, and a member of the Union of Intellectuals of North and East Syria, pointed out that the reasons for the continuation of the conspiracy and the further tightening of isolation year after year are because the dominant authorities in Turkey, along with their conspirators, fear the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who calls for people's fraternity.
Muhammad Nouri al-Ahmad stressed that the thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan united the people of the region with all its components, including Arabs, Kurds, and Syriac Assyrians, according to the foundations of co-existence.
Nouri al-Ahmad explained: “The thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan liberated Kurdish and Arab women in light of the tyranny the region had previously witnessed and the deprivation of their leadership. Leader Abdullah Ocalan, with his thought and ideology, liberated women from the male mentality.”
Al-Ahmad explained that the momentum that is growing day by day in all parts of the world demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is the result of intensifying isolation. He said: “Isolation pushes segments of society to search more into the leader’s ideas, and as they understand them, the demands for his physical freedom increase.”
The Kurdish political activist confirms that the absence of the positions of the Council of the European Union and the United Nations and the lack of response to the popular momentum is due to its connection to the policies of its supporters and the service of its interests. He said: “It works according to the cloak of the countries that fund it, so we notice that it is deaf and dumb.”
Member of the Rojava Kurdistan Intellectuals Union (HRRK), Ahmed Haidar, explained that the strict isolation and the absence of responsive international positions open the way for the people of the region to expand the scope of the struggle to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, to a greater extent and increase momentum further.
Ahmed Haider said: “No matter how much pressure the Turkish authorities put on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, this will only increase our resolve and will to resist, until we reach his physical freedom, because it has been proven time and time again that continuing resistance without abandoning it leads to victory.”
Haider noted that the city of Van in Northern Kurdistan witnessed resistance against the Turkish authorities who tried to seize a municipal position after the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party candidate won the municipal elections, and the people were able to import their rights and deal a strong blow to the Turkish state in Northern Kurdistan.
