Yemeni forces controlled areas in Taiz province

Yemeni forces backed by the Saudi-led Coalition announced on Monday the control of the first district of Mawiya district east of Taiz province in southwestern Yemen.

Al-Arabiya Channel quoted military sources in the Yemeni forces, backed by the Arab Coalition, as saying that "the legitimate forces liberated the area of ​​al-Selib in Azala Baher in Mawiya district east of Taiz province."

The source pointed out that "the control of the region and the expulsion of Houthi militias, and control of some sites and military barracks where the militias were stationed and fired at the homes of citizens in nearby villages."

He added that "the Yemeni forces continue to progress towards the Directorate of Mawiya, in an important military development on the theater of operations in the fronts of the north and west of Dali."

Saudi media reported the killing of a Saudi soldier in clashes with the Houthis on the southern border of Saudi Arabia with Yemen in the Jazan region.

Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz, deputy governor of Jazan province, conveyed the condolences of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Prince Ahmed bin Abdo Yahiya Jari, who was killed during his defense of the homeland in the southern border of Jazan region.
