World Bank: Iran will suffer worse recession than previously expected

The World Bank said in a report that "Iran will suffer a recession worse than previously expected."

US President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal and re-imposed sanctions on Tehran last year. Since then, Iran's oil exports have been stopped and foreign investment has declined.

Trump urged Iran's leaders to engage in talks on abandoning their nuclear program and said he could not rule out a military confrontation.
