​​​​​​​What happened between French delegation, Kurdish forces in NE Syria?

Abdel Kareem Seko revealed the content of the meeting of the Kurdish forces and parties in the regions of north and east Syria with the French delegation, and listened to the parties' view on the unity of the Kurdish rank.

The initiative launched by the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces which aimed at the unity of the Kurdish rank in northern and eastern Syria was welcomed internally and externally, and both America and France sent delegations to the region and met the Kurdish parties without exception in order to listen to their views.

On Monday, May 4th, a delegation from the French government visited the regions of northern and eastern Syria. It met with the representatives of 16 Kurdish parties in Rumeilan town of Qamishlo canton, and listened to their views on forming a Kurdish reference and the view of the Kurdish parties on the solution in Syria.

Among the Kurdish figures who attended the meeting with the French delegation, the General Coordinator of the Kurdish Forces Union Abdel Kareem Seko who revealed to us the content of the meeting indicated that the French delegation expressed its support for the unity of the Kurdish rank, and discussions focused on the visions of the Kurdish parties about the future of the region and the unity of the Kurdish rank.

Seko said that the French delegation met with all the Kurdish parties without exception, and said: "The delegation is trying to transfer the reality of the region to its government."

Seko indicated that the meeting was positive, as the French delegation expressed its support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and praised the sacrifices made by the people of the region against the mercenaries.

Seko noted that all regional powers such as Russia, America and France are striving for the Kurdish unity without restriction nor condition.

A political détente in the near future

The General Coordinator of the Kurdish Forces Union Abdel Kareem Seko indicated that he expects there will be a political détente in the region and that he is optimistic about the Kurdish ranks' unity. Furthermore, he stressed that the unity is the best option.
