Washington confirms the continuation of its strategy to isolate Iran

US State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagos confirmed that the US strategy toward Iran is to continue to isolate it diplomatically and economically, so that it behaves like a normal country.

The US State Department spokeswoman said: The US strategy after the elimination of General Qassem Soleimani, and subsequent Iranian retaliatory attacks on US military bases in Iraq, are further diplomatic and economic isolation of Iran.

In response to the Iranian attack, the United States imposed, last Friday, sanctions on 17 Iranian mining and minerals companies, as well as on foreign ships involved in transporting Iranian products, and on 8 senior Iranian officials.
