The US embassy in Khartoum called for an end to the attack by Sudanese security forces on the sit-in in front of the General Command, according to Sputnik.

"The attack by the Sudanese security forces against the protesters and other civilians is a mistake and must stop," the US embassy said in a tweet on Monday.

"The responsibility lies with the Transitional Military Council."

The gathering of Sudanese professionals called on the Sudanese people to take to the streets and demonstrate peacefully throughout the country, with all roads, bridges and gates closed, and the mass civil disobedience to demand the overthrow of the ruling transitional military regime in the country.

The Sudanese security forces stormed early Monday morning the sit-in in the center of Khartoum amid the fire, as activists described it as an attempt to break the sit-in in front of the Ministry of Defense, where the opposition announced 14 people in an attempt to break the sit-in in Khartoum, while medical sources confirmed the fall of nine dead .
