US Aircraft carrier, battleships cross Strait of Hormuz

The US Navy announced, Friday, that its forces have brought an aircraft carrier and warships through the Strait of Hormuz.

The commander of the US attack group, Admiral Jim Kirk, confirmed the readiness of his forces, saying, "We are in the prime of preparation."

The US Fifth Fleet said in a statement that an attack group led by the Nimitz aircraft carrier, which includes two cruisers equipped with guided and destructive missiles equipped with guided missiles, sailed in the Gulf to work and train with American partners and support the coalition fighting the terrorist ISIS.

"The Nimitz Strike Group has been operating in the Fifth Fleet's area of operations since July, and it is in peak preparation," Kirk added
