UN: Houthis agreed to withdraw initially from 3 ports

The United Nations announced on Friday that the Houthis agreed to a "tentative withdrawal" from parts of the ports of Hodeida, Salif and Ras Issa.

A UN panel said on Friday Yemen's Houthi group had agreed to unilaterally withdraw from three major ports from May 11 to 14 to pave the way for the UN to carry out port management in accordance with a UN-sponsored peace deal.

The Committee for the Coordination of Redeployment reported in a statement that it was important for the plan to follow "binding and transparent procedures by the parties to fully meet their obligations".
