Turkish soldiers killed, drone downed in Guerrilla operations in Khakurk

The People's Defense Forces announced the killing of 8 soldiers in the Turkish occupation army during a military operation carried out by the Guerrilla forces on May 10, in Khakurk region.

The media center of the People's Defense Forces said in a statement, "Our forces, in the framework of the revolutionary phase in the name of the martyr Baker and the martyr Ronya, carried out a military operation on May 10 at 21:00 against the Turkish occupation army stationed on Lelkan Hill which is located in Khakurk area in the rightful defense zones, and the operation resulted in the destruction of fortifications and shelters of the Turkish military army and the killing of 8 soldiers."

The statement pointed out, "The Turkish army transported its killed soldiers from the area by helicopters, and launched a random shelling with mortars on the vicinity of the operations zone​, while our unit which carried out its operation returned to its bases safely."

Yesterday morning, May 10th, the People's Defense Forces shot down a Turkish reconnaissance plane in Zab region.
