Turkish occupation launches 23 attacks on Afrin, Al-Shahba in April

The Turkish occupation army launched 23 attacks on the villages of Afrin and al-Shahba in the month of April, while Turkey was supposed to abide by international calls for a cease-fire in Syria.

Since January 20, 2018, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have continued their attacks on Al-Shahba and Afrin cantons, targeting forcibly displaced persons and populated villages on an almost daily basis.

Despite the United Nations' call for the need for a ceasefire in the world in general and Syria in particular to prevent the spread of the Coruna virus, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to launch their attacks on Afrin and Al-Shahba cantons.

According to a statistic prepared by our agency from the first day of April to 30 April, the Turkish occupation army launched 23 attacks on al-Shahba and Afrin cantons.

The villages that were targeted by the Turkish occupation army during this month are the villages of "Sogunakah, Akiba, Ziyarah" in Sherawa district, and the villages of "Sheikh Eis and Harbel Tel Jijan, Binah, Ahras, and the village of Tel M'diq and Samouqa" in Al Shahba canton.

In addition to the villages of Maranaz and Al-Malikiyah affiliated to Afrin’s Sharah District.

In addition, a citizen was injured during the Turkish army’s bombing of Afrin canton during this month, and two members of the Syrian government were wounded.

Turkish reconnaissance aircraft flew 15 days over the two cantons this April.
