The Self-Defense Forces in southern Kurdistan said in a statement that they carried out a military operation against the headquarters of the Turkish army on Tel Bei in Bekova district of Zakho in the province of Dohuk, at 18:00 on the evening of June 7.
The statement pointed out that the operation was carried out from two axes, and targeted several points inside the headquarters.
The troops said in a statement that the operation resulted in killing at least 20 soldiers, in addition to the destruction of a military vehicle.
In the wake of the operation, the Turkish army guns shelled the vicinity of Rosi and Shundly villages in the area. Then bombed Tel Kurdina and the vicinity of Shundali village, causing no casualties, but causing material damage to the property of the citizens.
