Turkey acquiesces to Russia again: We are not planning to launch attacks in Syria

Ankara told Moscow it was not planning to launch new attacks in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday, a day after Turkey's foreign minister threatened attacks, prompting Russian Defense Ministry condemnation.

 The news agency "TASS" Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, as saying on Wednesday, that Ankara told Moscow that it is not planning to launch new operation in Syria.

The Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday condemned Turkish threats to launch new attacks on northern and eastern Syria.

The ministry expressed surprise at Turkish allegations that the Sochi Agreement had not been implemented, and stressed that the SDF had fulfilled its obligations, noting that Turkish threats could worsen the situation there.
