Trump threatens to cut all relations with China

On Thursday, the U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to cut off all relations with China, adding that he "does not wish to speak at this time" to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Trump said in an interview on "Fox Business": "I have a very good relationship (with him), but at the moment, I do not want to speak to him."

The U.S. president considered that Beijing's position in the crisis of the emerging Corona virus outbreak "disappointed him".

When asked about the retaliatory measures he might take, he evaded the answer, but he said: "There are a lot of things we can do. We can cut off every relationship with China."

Trump has previously accused China of hiding information about the virus, especially at the start of its spread, and that it was "not transparent", which exacerbated the crisis and spread it worldwide.
