Trump suspends US fighters deal with Turkey

US President Donald Trump signed a presidential decree to stop the sale of F-35 planes to Turkey.

Under the decree, the delivery plan will be suspended until the defense and foreign ministers submit a final report on the Russian S-400 strategic missile deal and whether Turkey is proceeding with the deal despite US warnings.

According to Trump's bill of Congress, the United States will wait until November to make its decision.

The report by the US Congress and the Pentagon indicated that Turkey's acquisition of the S-400 would likely completely destroy the joint venture for F-35 aircraft and would also affect Turkish orders from Boeing, Chinook helicopters and F-16s.
