Trump informs Congress of Washington's withdrawal from WHO

US President Donald Trump has officially informed Congress, the United States, of the withdrawal of the World Health Organization.

Democratic Senator, Robert Menendez confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday that Congress has received an official notification from the President in this regard.

Menendez criticized Trump for doing this during the global pandemic, adding that Trump's handling of the Coronavirus crisis was "chaotic" and that he "would not protect the interests of the United States or the lives of Americans."

US President Donald Trump announced that the United States withdrew from the World Health Organization in late May, as it had not met US demands for reform of the organization.
Trump accused the world body of bias towards China and mishandling the Corona virus crisis.
