Trump announces John Bolton dismissal

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed the national security adviser John Bolton from office, saying he would appoint a new adviser next week.

According to Sky News "Bolton resigned this morning, and I will appoint a new adviser next week," Trump said.

"I told John Bolton yesterday that his services are no longer needed at the White House," Trump added.

The US president said he "strongly disagrees with many of Bolton's proposals," and he has asked him to resign.
