To prevent the spread of Corona ... partial curfew imposed in N, E Syria regions

On Tuesday, the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued Decision No. (173) to impose a partial curfew on the region after the pace of Corona epidemic outbreak rose, which will start on Friday October 30 until next November 8.

As part of the precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the Corona pandemic in the region, the Autonomous Administration issued a partial ban decision, which stated the following:

1- A partial curfew is imposed in all areas of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria for ten days, starting from Friday morning 10-30-2020 until 8-11-2020.

2- All major markets and public facilities shall be closed during the period of the curfew, with the exception of shops and stores selling food and vegetables, provided that they close at three in the afternoon and restaurants are restricted to external orders only.

3- All places of worship shall be closed except for (Friday prayers - Holy Sunday), with all necessary preventive and health measures taken.

4- All gatherings (wedding halls - funeral tents - meetings - conferences) are prohibited.

5- All fellow citizens should wear a mask and take preventive measures in public places, markets and official departments, in accordance with Resolution No. (93) dated 8/16/2020.

6- Work continues in all schools, universities, institutes and kindergartens, with all preventive and health measures agreed upon between the Health Authority and the Education Authority of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

7- Following all means of prevention, social distancing, and personal hygiene in all Autonomous Administration institutions in northeastern Syria, and reducing the number of attendants to a third if needed.

8- All hospitals, public and private health centers, international organizations, the Red Cross and Red Crescent, pharmacies, and bakeries are excluded from this prohibition.

9- All border crossings remain open in accordance with Resolution No. (149) of 10-10-2020 issued by the co-presidency of the Executive Council of North and East Syria.
