To prevent Corona’s emergence, spread ... curfew in north and east Syria

Based on the requirements of the public interest, and as a precautionary measure to prevent the emergence and spread of the Coronavirus, the co-chairmanship of the Executive Council for North and East Syria issued a circular announcing the imposition of a curfew in the regions of northern and eastern Syria starting from March 23.

The circular issued by the Joint Presidency of the Executive Council for North and East Syria stated the following:

“Due to the serious challenge posed by the Corona virus epidemic to the world and the region, and in the interest of the health and safety of the citizens, we call on all citizens in the regions of the Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria to adhere to the following measures:

1- A curfew is imposed in all regions of the Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria, starting on Monday morning, 23/03/2020 at 06:00 am.

2 – Movement among the Autonomous and Civil Administrations, as well as among the major cities within each administration is prohibited starting from the morning of Saturday, 21/03/2020 at 06:00.

3- All restaurants, cafes, commercial centers, "bazaars", public parks, private medical clinics, wedding halls and mourning tents are closed.

4- All hospitals, public and private health centers, international organizations, the Cross and Red Crescent, pharmacies, sterilization committees, cleaners, bakeries, food stores exclusively, food and baby milk trucks and fuel tanks are excluded from this ban.

5- The Citizens must strictly abide by the aforementioned procedures, and any person violates will be exposed to legal accountability duly.
