Today marks the second anniversary of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries attacks on Afrin canton. Qamshlo, Girke Lege, Jiel Agha, Direk, Tel Kocer, Tel Barak, al-Derbasiya and Al-Shaddadi in Hasakeh canton, have witnessed mass demonstrations and sit-ins.
Crowds of people gathered in Osman Sabri roundabout in Hilaliya neighborhood, east of Qamshlo. They carried olive branches, pictures of the victims of the Turkish aggression on Afrin, banners "Where is the conscience of the humanity", "No to war against childhood", "In the spirit of resistance of Shingal, we will liberateAfrin, Gire Spi and Seri Kania", and " The Turkish occupation is the occupation of looting and theft."
The crowd proceeded from Osman Sabri roundabout towards the Martyr Robar roundabout next to Mohammed Shekho's Center for Culture and Art, chanting "In the spirit of resistance we will free Afrin", and "Resistance is life, death to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries".
Community Protection Forces and internal security forces have provided the necessary protection for the demonstrators.
When the demonstrators arrived at Martyr Robar roundabout, the administrator in Kongra Star, Shamsi Khan Klo, spoke: "We gathered here today to pay tribute to our children on the front lines of the fighting, the families of the martyrs, and the leader, Ocalan."
Shamsi Khan Klo explained that the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and its massacres against the people of Afrin, Gire Spi and Seri Kania will not break their will, and that the people of northern and eastern Syria continue to struggle and resist.
Shamsi Khan indicated that they would make every olive branch a bomb at the heart of the Turkish occupation, and that the resistance of the Afrin people continued, and noted that the people of the region were determined to defeat the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and expel them from the entire territory it had occupied.
"The Turkish occupation has displaced thousands of our children, and hundreds of people have lost their limbs, where are you from these crimes that are committed by the occupation against us?" Shamsi Khan addressed the international organizations and human rights organizations.
Hundreds of Tel Hamis residents and members of civil institutions and councils marched on the second anniversary of the Turkish occupation attacks on Afrin province, demanding removal of the Turkish occupier.

After that, the demonstrators stopped in front of the Youth Centre in Amuda district, Co-Head of the Interior Authority in Al Jazeera canton, Kanaan Barakat, delivered a speech , he noted in that Afrin people had valiantly resisted the Turkish occupation and defended their land, and that the resistance that had been shown in 58 days had stunned the whole world.
"We have pledged our people to protect our regions and remain committed to the covenant, we will continue to defend and we will not back down until the liberation of Afrin, Seri Kania and Gire Spi," Barakat said.
Barakat pointed out that the people of the region, Autonomous Administration, internal security forces and SDF will not accept the presence of the Turkish occupation in the northern and eastern regions of Syria. "We will break the silence of the humanitarian organizations and countries in the face of the Turkish occupation and the daily violations against the people of the region and call on them to do their part to end the occupation and ensure the return of the indigenous people in the region," Ali said.

Mona Yousif added: "Erdogan's brutal operation was a violation and forced displacement against Afrini people and the people of northern and eastern Syria, and the Turkish occupation killed, looted, stole and destroyed many monuments and committed massacres against the innocent children, including the Massacre of Tel Rifaat, which killed more than 8 children."
