Iraq on Saturday unveiled consultations to hold a tripartite meeting between Iran, Iraq and Syria to discuss the railways project.

The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Railways, Taleb al-Husseini, said that coordination is going on by the Iraqi side and the Iranian and Syrian to hold a tripartite meeting to discuss the possibility of implementation of railways project between the three countries, according to the agency "ISNA".

The two sides stressed the importance of moving forward to strengthen bilateral relations and improve the level of ambition for economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation in all sectors.

He added: "The road to joint cooperation in the economic field has been reached and all obstacles and restrictions preventing the strengthening of the volume of trade and commodity exchange between the two countries of local origin for export have been overcome, as well as discussing cooperation in the fields of energy, sea, air and railways.
