Syrian Observatory: More than 370 thousand people killed after 8 years of war in Syria

The Syrian crisis has since its outbreak eight years ago killed more than 370,000 people, including more than 112,000 civilians, AFP quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying.


The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the deaths of 37,122 people since the outbreak of the conflict on March 15, 2011, including more than 112,000 civilians. Among those killed were more than 21,000 children and 13,000 women.

The latest death toll of the Observatory on 13 September reported that more than 360,000 deaths.

According to the observatory, these statistics include those who were able to document their deaths during the fighting, and those who died as a result of torture in government prisons or missing persons and detainees in several places in Syria.
