With the return of the manifestations of normal life to the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor city after the Syrian Democratic Forces combed the area, the arrest of mercenaries belonging to hostile parties, and after the turmoil and security imbalance that the region witnessed and the assassination of some Arab tribal sheikhs and dignitaries, there are still many internal and external parties trying to ignite discord between the people of the region and its clans, and the military forces must maintain the security of the area.
In this context, and to talk about what is going on in the region, and what those who support igniting discord and chaos aim at, one of the elders of al-Shuhail town from al-Agidat tribe, Khalif al-Shaer said: "They do not want stability in the region."
External parties try to undermine the security of the region and its people
Al-Shaer indicated at the beginning of his speech that the events that al-Shuhail town witnessed in the past days were fabricated by many parties, both internal and external, and aimed at stoking sedition and underestimating the security and stability of the region.
He explained: "The strife and the events that took place negatively affected the people of the region, before they affected the existing military forces."
Exploiting events by media to reach personal interests
He noted: "There was a great media exaggeration by several parties, as each side worked to exploit the events that took place in the region for its own benefit, and each of them was working to inflame and exaggerate the situation in order to exploit the events and reach their ambitions."
He added: "Those who are far from the area are not like those in it, they do not know the truth on the ground. The media war had negative effects on the people of the region because it exaggerated the fabricated strife."
The people of the region and its clans must place the public interest above all interests
Regarding what should be done, al-Shaer said: "The people of the region and the existing clans must unify ranks and discourse, and move away from selfishness and personal interests."
He pointed out that they should think about the security and stability of the region, and place it among the public interests that they must protect from external parties that try to destabilize the security and stability of it and ignite discord among its people."
He indicated, "They must work to consolidate love and peace among the people of the region, consolidate coexistence under the roof of brotherhood of peoples, and equality among all components in the region."
Foreign parties should not interfere in the affairs of the region and stop their media war
Regarding what the political and military parties are talking about abroad, al-Shaer responded saying: "What matters to us is the people of the region, and prevailing security and stability in northern and eastern Syria as a whole," stressing that they will stand in the face of all parties that try to undermine the security of the region.
In the conclusion of his speech to Hawar, he called on the external parties that interfere in the affairs of the region not to intervene and stop the media war against them, and to stop undermining the security and stability of the region because that affects the people of the region.
