SDF to hold solemn ceremony for 9 of martyrs of YAT in Hasaka

Today, March 22, a solemn military and popular farewell ceremony will be held in Hasaka for the bodies of 9 SDF fighters who were martyred in two helicopters crash Southern Kurdistan.

Thousands from the regions of Al-Jazeera, the Euphrates, Deir al-zor, Al-Raqqa and Manbij are heading to the city of Hasaka to participate in the funeral ceremonies for the martyrs of YAT, the people and official gathering will be in front of Martyr Sariya Hospital in the Ghweran neighborhood at 11:00, and then the bodies will be carried on shoulders to Sardam Stadium.

It is scheduled that military music will be played to salute the martyrs, and then the ceremony will start with a speech by the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and words by the official institutions of NE Syria, and representatives of the International Coalition.

9 male and female fighters from the counter-terrorism units were martyred in the crash of two helicopters in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), while they were on their way to the city of Sulaymaniyah as part of the activities and joint efforts to combat ISIS cells on March 15.

After a series of contacts, the Syrian Democratic Forces managed to recover the bodies of the 9 martyrs.
