SDF liberated Qeber Taha, al-Madinah villages from IS

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) liberated al-Madinah and Qeber Taha villages which are adjacent to the borders from IS, after strong clashes witnessed in the two villages.


Al-Jazeera Tempest campaign continues its second stage which was launched on June 4 and led by SDF with more victories on the ground against IS mercenaries in Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah countryside.

Clashes broke out between SDF fighters and IS mercenaries on Wednesday noon, and heavy weapons were used as SDF targeted the positions of IS mercenaries in the two villages. As a result of the strength of the blows, the mercenaries fled the two villages, and SDF entered the villages and liberated them in addition to liberating hundreds of civilians.

It is noteworthy that al-Madinah and Qeber Taha villages are located in the south-east of al-Shadadi city, on the line links between the countryside of al-Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor, and the two villages are imported as they are adjacent to the Syrian-Iraqi borders.
