Saudi Arabia takes over G-20 presidency, hosts the next summit

On Saturday, Saudi Arabia received the chairmanship of the Group of 20 from Japan at the end of a two-day summit in Osaka.

In a speech before the closing session of the summit, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called on leaders to attend the upcoming G20 summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"Under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Kingdom will preside over the G20 in December 2019. It will host the leaders' summit on Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 November 2020," SPA said.

The Prime Minister of Japan, President of the current session of the G-20 Summit, stressed the full commitment to the great success of the upcoming 20th summit in the Kingdom
