Russia: Attempts to force regime to negotiate with Idlib's terrorists will not succeed

Russia permanent representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia said during a meeting of the UN Security Council, that attempts to force the Syrian regime to negotiate with terrorists in Idlib, will not succeed

During a meeting of the Security Council to discuss the situation in Syria, Nebenzia stressed that Moscow will not stop supporting the Syrian regime in its legitimate war on international terrorism.

 He stressed the need to stop providing support and weapons to the active terrorist organizations in Syria, including Al-Sham Liberation Organization, formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra, which is on the international terrorism list.

He added: "We have recently heard a statement from the senior U.S. official James Jeffrey (U.S. envoy on Syria) that the "Liberation of The Levant", a negotiable organization with which, but we would like to emphasize that attempts to provide political cover for terrorists, and to force the Syrian government to negotiate with them, will fail."
