Re-deployment committee in Hodeidah meets today

A government delegation to the Coordination Committee for the Re-deployment in Hodeidah arrived at the Antarctic Dream at sea to hold the tripartite meeting between the Huthis, the Yemeni government and the UN delegation.

The delegation of the Yemeni government headed by Major-General Sakier Aziz and a UN delegation led by the UN Delegate in Hodeidah, Michael Lollesgaard, The Ansar Allah al-Houthi delegation is likely to arrive this afternoon.

According to media reports that the meeting will be held in international waters, due to the closure of the Ansar Allah al-Houthi group in Hodeidah.

The Head of the Government Group reported that the Committee would hold a joint meeting on board a ship off the coast of Hodeidah. The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, stressed that he is seeking to broker an end to the war in Yemen and help reach a comprehensive political agreement that puts an end to the conflict, not to judge the parties or force them to implement any agreement.
