Protestors: Russian government should clarify its position on Turkish crimes

Dozens of women who protested near a Russian military base in Kobani demanded that the Russian government clarify its position on protecting the security and stability of the region, and Turkish violations. While Russian forces refused to meet the delegation.

Women from the Kongra Star began today, Saturday, a sit-in in front of the second largest Russian military base on the Al-Ezzaah hill west of the city of Kobani, to protest the Russian silence about the Turkish air bombardment that targeted 3 women.

The women who started the sit-in since at 16:00 this evening, carried pictures of the three women who were martyred in a raid of a drones of the Turkish occupation.
The sit-in lasted 4 hours , while the Russian forces refused to receive a delegation from the Kongra Star , and after that it issued a statement to public opinion requesting the of the international coalition and the Russian government to come out with a clear and explicit position on the Turkish crimes committed against civilians in the northeast of Syria.

The shelling that targeted a civilian home last Tuesday, in the village of Helenj in the southeast of Kobani city, resulted in the death of Mulla Khalil, Zahra Barkal, Amina Wessi.

In the framework of the Sochi understandings, on October 22, 2019, Russia and Turkey reached an understanding of the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces  32 kilometers from the Syrian-Turkish border, provided that joint Russian-Turkish patrols would be conducted on the borders, and Russia would guarantee the security and stability of the Syrian border with Turkey.
