Protest in Helsinki against arrest of Laila Koven and Musa Fares

Dozens of members of the Kurdish community in the Finnish capital, Helsinki, participated in a protest against the Turkish authorities' arrest of Kurdish politicians, Leila Koven and Musa Fares.

The Kurdish Democratic Society Center, NCDK and the Kurdish Women Initiative organized a protest in the center of the Finnish capital, Helsinki, against the backdrop of the Turkish authorities arresting Kurdish politicians, Koven and Fares.

Dozens of members of the Kurdish community in Finland participated and held banners with slogans of denunciations.

During the protest, a statement on behalf of the Kurdish Women Initiative was read in English and Finnish.

The Turkish authorities arrested both politicians, Koven and Fares on the June 4th, hours after the Turkish parliament voted to lift diplomatic immunity from them.
