The work of the conference held by the Syrian Democratic Council in the city of Hasaka was concluded, this conference is considered comprehensive of all the 13 conferences held in all cities of north and east Syria, under the slogan: “ Guaranteeing citizenship and the rights of all components in a united Syria, strengthening participation in the institutions of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, developing and empowering Autonomous and Civil Administrations.
The final statement, which included a set of recommendations and decisions, was read to the public opinion before the media at the end of the conference by the representative of the Civil Administration in Raqqa within the committee formed to follow up the recommendations and decisions of the conference, Lawrence Al-Borsan.
Al-Borsan said in the statement: “After the Syrian Democratic Council held thirteen dialogue seminars and a series of public meetings embodying direct democracy in the various cities and towns of northern and eastern Syria, with the aim of ensuring equal citizenship and the rights of all components in a unified Syria, enhancing participation in the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, developing and empowering Autonomous and Civil Administrations.
Al-Borsan added: "Today the Syrian Democratic Council held the National Conference for the People of al-Jazeera and the Euphrates, where about 300 members from all societal components in northern and eastern Syria participated in the conference, representatives of political forces and parties, independent personalities, sheikhs and tribal elders, representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Democratic Forces."
The statement noted that many opinions and proposals were put forward regarding the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, ways to participate in the political process, end tyranny, terrorism and occupations, develop and empower self-management, guarantee freedoms and rights, apply law, achieve social justice and equality, the safe and voluntary return of the displaced people to their homes, and end all forms of demographic change, as well as the release of political detainees and unveiling disclosure of the fate of the kidnapped and forcibly disappeared.
At the end of the statement, the statement mentioned the items of the working paper that SDF presented at the conference and was approved, which includes 17 important items for the future of Syria.
