Pentagon: operations in Syria returned to previous pace with SDF

Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, commander of the U.S. Armed Forces, the  Central Command, confirmed that Syria's counterterrorism operations have returned to their previous pace, and that U.S. forces are constantly conducting joint operations with Syrian Democratic Forces.

"The pace of counterterrorism operations in Syria has returned to its former status," Said Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, commander of the U.S. Armed Forces Central Command, whose field responsibilities include the Middle East." General Kenneth Mackenzie said in a speech reported by a newspaper.

 American forces are carrying out in the current period  3-4  joint operations with Syrian Democratic Forces every week against ISIS terrorist mercenaries, the general mentioned.

The general did not say how long U.S. forces would remain in Syria, but said, "I honestly don't know how long we'll be here, and I have no instructions other than to continue working with our partners here."

In a response to journalists' questions, the general added that U.S. armed forces would be ready to deal with various situations in the country as they evolve in the future. "Now we are giving priority to the process of completely eliminating ISIS," he said.
