Partial 15-day curfew imposed in north eastern Syria

A new decision was taken by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria that stipulates the imposition of a 15- day partial curfew in area of north eastern Syria in a bid to curb outbreak of the Covid- 19 Pandemic.

Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has issued today a decision stipulates the imposition of a partial curfew for the period of 15 days, in north eastern Syria as of Sunday, December 6th, 2020, in a bid to curb outbreak of the Covid- 19 Pandemic, after a surge in the confirmed cases of which tens died, in areas held by Autonomous Administration. the partial curfew remains in place until December 30th, 2020. .

The decision reads as follows :

-Exempt big bazars, Friday or Sunday movable bazars, all commercial shops, groceries, and all foodstuff and vegetable shops would be open until 04:00 local time.

-All schools, universities and all teaching associations would be open, taking into account all cautionary and preemptive measures and hygienic procedures, in addition, all kinds of buses are given permission to go from and come to north eastern Syria.  

-All worshipping places remain closed, except for the weekly Friday prayers and the Sundays rituals, taking into account all necessary cautionary and preemptive measures and hygienic procedures. 

-All gatherings such as parties, tents of condolences, meetings or conferences are all forbidden under the pain of liability.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria call on all employees to wear face masks and take into account all cautionary and preemptive measures and hygienic procedures and to abide by social distance in all places. 

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria noted that autonomous and civil bodies has the right to issue the proper decision regarding the Covid-19 Pandemic, on condition that it never contravenes the terms in question.
