On 30th day... new attacks on international road thwarted; sharp criticism of UN complicity

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries tried yesterday to control the international road and cut the road between Kobani and Ain Issa by launching strong attacks, but the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF )countered them and thwarted all those attempts, while SDF and the Executive Committee of the Democratic Society Movement sharply criticized the position of the UN complicit with the policies of genocide aimed at Turkey.

On the 30th day of the attacks and the invasion of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the north and east of Syria, attacks continue to try to expand the occupation and block roads, but SDF confront them and thwart all these attempts.

Fierce attacks on villages close to the international road; SDF thwarted them

Yesterday the villages of Ain Issa area on the international road M4 witnessed fierce battles in which the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries used various types of heavy weapons, while the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the attacks and foiled them, which was aimed at blocking the international road and cutting the road between Kobani and Ain Issa. Clashes continue in several areas.

Besides, the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces foiled an attack by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the village of Shirkrak east of Ain Issa and the mercenaries fled, while unknown warplanes targeted a stronghold of mercenaries.

This came in conjunction with the shelling of the Turkish occupation army to the village of Qasimiya, a suburb of Tel Tamr districk of Hasakah.

Clashes in Manbej countryside

In Manbij, clashes between Turkish mercenaries and the forces of Manbij Military Council took place in four villages on four axes north and northwest of Manbij, after the mercenaries bombed Manbij Military Council forces' points.

SDF: 20 mercenaries eliminated, one tank destroyed in yesterday's battles

Syrian Democratic Forces indicated that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries from Daesh and Jabhat al-Nusra are continuing their attacks, pointing out that during the past 24 hours, 20 elements of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries were eliminated, in addition to destroying a tank and seizing quantities of weapons and ammunition.

The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, called on the international coalition, the United States and Russia to fulfill their obligations to prevent demographic change in the Serekaniye region and Girê Spi/ Tel Abyad canton occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries.

A sharp criticism of the UN's complicity with the policy of ethnic cleansing

The commander-in-chief of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi, also warned of what he saw as UN complicity with Turkey's genocidal policies in northern and eastern Syria.

The Executive Committee of Democratic Society Movement denounced the positions of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in support of the efforts of ethnic cleansing practiced by the Turkish occupation state, as well as the position of NATO countries and condoning the use of chemical weapons by Turkey.

Humanitarian situation

The hospital of martyr Omar Alloush in Ain Eissa district received nearly 3,000 cases of illness since the beginning of the Turkish attack on northern and eastern Syria, including martyrs and wounded targeted by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries despite the simple possibilities available to the hospital.

33 schools were closed and 7,734 students were deprived of the right to learn in the border villages of Darbasiyyah district as a result of the shelling of villages by the Turkish occupation and targeting of civilians.

Global responses to the Turkish invasion

US officials confirmed that reports of Turkey's violation of the agreements to control the end-use of weapons are "reliable", and pointed out that Turkey has provided weapons to its mercenaries to attack northern and eastern Syria and they are investigating.

French President Emmanuel Macron said Turkey had "carried out an uncoordinated act of aggression with NATO" by launching attacks on northern and eastern Syria, stressing that its attacks endangered "our interests."
