Abdel Karim's remarks came at a time when the UN envoy to Syria, Mr. Geir O. Pedersen, met with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem in Damascus to discuss the remaining issues related to the constitutional committee.
Omar pointed out that they believe that the Constitutional Committee will be without results like the rest of the previous committees, saying that the exclusion of the of northern and eastern Syria "prolongs the life of the Syrian crisis because of the lack of consensus between regional and international powers, in addition to the exclusion of the Kurds and the Autonomous Administration representative of all components of the region which managed to free 30% of the Syrian territory from terrorism."
".The formation of this committee is to gain more time," Omar said
The co-chair of the External Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria indicated that they have sent "letters to the concerned authorities, that if they are not present (representatives of the Autonomous Administration) and partners in this committee, they are not concerned with its results.
Omar pointed out that the Constitutional Committee is a key issue in their discussions with delegations visiting the region, and their diplomatic delegations abroad.
"We tell it to everyone and they tell us whether they are Americans, British, French or Germans, it is not possible to solve the Syrian crisis without involving the north and east of Syria in it."
He pointed out during his speech to the reason for their exclusion from the political process and the Constitutional Committee is "Turkish veto", and said that "this way will not solve the Syrian crisis, and there will be no solution to the crisis if we do not involve it, and any constitution, where there is no opinion of all Syrian components will remain incomplete.
In conclusion, Omar stressed that they are with the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and the peaceful resolution of the Syrian crisis.
