Ocalan: Peace is solution for northern, eastern Syria, not war

The leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, pointed out that the solution in the north and east of Syria is not the war, but the peace, adding, "the issue cannot be resolved by bloodshed,  we are always ready for peace."

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Mohamed Ocalan met with his brother, the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, in Imrali prison, on August 12, and on this visit, Mohamed Ocalan told Mesopotamia Agency that since 2016 he has met his brother, only 3 times.

He explained that his last visit, which was on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, lasted for about an hour, adding "We are denied our right to visit those in Imrali prison, but after the general hunger strikes, some rights were realized, and 2019 is an unforgettable year, especially the activities organized to end the isolation. "

He explained that the visit took place at 13:00 and in a small lounge.

They searched our clothes, and we were stripped naked, I am 68 years old, and they know me very well, because for 20 years I have been visiting Imrali, this is illegal and unacceptable. ”

As for his meeting with the leader he said, "at every meeting I was looking at the door, but this time they asked me to change my direction, and when the leader came, I turned towards him, he told me then (I was not waiting for you) as if our visit was a coincidence, I told him that the lawyers told us that we could visit you on the second day of Eid al-Adha, and the leader asked me about the events taking place in the homeland, and I told him that there are three issues, the first is the issue of the north and east of Syria, the second is the attacks which are being launched, and the third is the problems facing the institutions, in addition to the pressures on the people, I told him that the people are eager to know your health situation , and he told me "you see me".

'The war does not bring solutions'

Mohamed Ocalan said that the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, said about the north and east of Syria, "War is not the solution, Turkey will be hurt more, and the people who live with each other also will be affected, the peace must be consolidated, war is not the solution, and if Turkey enters the Syrian territory this will not be a solution, the war is not good for the people, I stayed 20 years in Syria, and I know its people well, I know the Arab tribes there also well, and I had relations with them, convey my greetings to the Arab tribes and the people there, the problem must be solved through democracy, because war does not bring solutions. "

Mohamed Ocalan noted that the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, addressed the solution of the Kurdish cause, and said, "To solve the Kurdish cause we do our duty, and carry out our tasks, and the attacks which were launched by Turkey under the name" claws "mean war, but the issue is not resolved by bloodshed, and we are always ready for peace, and we are always against war, peace must replace the war."
