Nazira Koriya warns of repetition of Seyfo massacre in event of a Turkish attack

Nazira Koriya asserted that any expected Turkish attack on northern and eastern Syria would renew the Seyfo massacres against Christians committed by the Ottoman Empire.

A member of the Executive Committee of the Syriac Union Party, Nazira Koriya, explained that the Turkish threats refer to the massacres committed by the Turkish regimes against the Syriacs, Armenians and Assyrians.

Koriya pointed out that the Autonomous Administration of northern and eastern Syria and the SDF had committed to all facilities to create a "safe zone" to decrease the danger of any potential war in the region.

Regarding the dangers of Turkish intervention on the Syriac people, Koriya pointed out that any Turkish attack on the north and east of Syria would pose great risks to the peoples of the region, especially the Syriac, Armenian and Assyrian people, adding "the Turkish occupation committed many massacres against our Syriac, Assyrian and Armenian people more than 100 years ago, such as the Seyfo massacre that killed more than half a million of our people."

Nazira Koriya explained that in the event of Turkey's attack on northern and eastern Syria, the Syrians will be exposed to new massacres again, and said: "Because Erdogan's mind is derived from the mind of the Ottoman Sultanate."
