More than 84 raids on demilitarized zone since morning

Russia and the regime have stepped up heavy shelling on the demilitarized zones with over than 84 raids targeting the villages of Idlib and Hama during the first hours on Sunday morning.

 

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Russian warplanes and helicopters belonging to the Syrian regime began their sixth day of the most violent escalation since the beginning of 2018, with intensive shelling of areas in the countryside of Hama and Idlib.

The Russian warplanes carried out after midnight on Saturday-Sunday and until the moment 20 raids, and they are two raids on each of al-Karkur, Fatira, Sarakab, al-Sahriya, axis of al-Kabina and Tarmala, and raids on Ahsem, al-Mozra, al-Amiqa, al-Hawash, Kefer Nebul, al-Zakat, al-Tamaneah, axis of Jabal al-Khasaniya in the countryside of Jaser al-Shaugour.

While Sukhoi 24 warplanes which took off from the airport of T4 east of Homs carried out 11 raids; 6 on the outskirts of al-Habit, 3 raids on the outskirts of the town of Maaret Horma and 2 raids on the outskirts of the town of Barah, while the warplanes opened heavy fire on the areas of Kefer Awaid town in the countryside of Idlib.

On the other hand, from the middle of last night until now, the helicopters launched 30 explosive barrels; 16 barrels of explosives on areas in the town of Kefer Nabuda in the north-west countryside of Hama, 6 on areas in the village of al-Naqir in the southern countryside of Idlib and 2 barrels on each of al-Sheikh Mustafa, Kefer Aweid and Om al-Sayer, in conjunction with an intensive artillery bombardment with dozens of rocket and artillery shells by the forces of the regime since after Saturday midnight and so far on places in the towns of Kefer Zitta, Murk, al-Lattamina and Kefer Nabuda and the villages of al-Zakat, al-Sakher and al-Bana in the north and northwest countryside of Hama, the town of al-Habit and the village of Abdin in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Escalation continues in the demilitarized zones by Russia and the regime forces after deepening differences among the guarantors in Astana's recent tour.
