The Martyrs Families Council of the Afrin region issued a statement denouncing the violations of the Turkish occupation against the holy places and the shrines of the martyrs in Afrin in Rojava and northern Kurdistan.

Dozens of residents of Al-Shahba and Afrin cantons and members of the institutions in the Autonomous Administration gathered in the Shuhada Shrine in Ahras district of Al-Shahba district, to condemn the violations of the Turkish occupation against the holy places and the shrines of the martyrs.

During the gathering, a statement on behalf of the families of the martyrs was read in both the Arabic and Kurdish, and the statement stated that "the Turkish state committed hundreds of massacres against the Kurdish people, including Arabs, Kurds, and Armenians, such as the Armenian massacre and the Zilan Valley."
