Meeting in Deir ez-Zor to discuss situation in region

The Civil Council in Deir ez-Zor called on sheikhs and clans' elders of the region's tribes and Coalition Forces to meet to discuss the current situation in the region and to find ways to solve it and establish security and stability.

The meeting, which included the joint presidency, the members of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, the Global Coalition Forces, and the dignitaries and sheikhs of the rural villages of Deir ez-Zor, east and west, held in the conference hall in al-Kasra area to discuss the situation in the region. And the study of what has been done from the services and issues and identify the demands of the people by the Civil Administration and representatives of the tribes and elders to come up with a formula to follow up service plans and secure the requirements of the people.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, followed by delivering a speech by the member of the Presidential Council of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD)Hassan Mohamed Ali, who welcomed the attendees and congratulated the victory of SDF that eliminated Daesh and saved the peoples of the region.

"The military victory did not end the challenges," he said. "Therefore, we must cooperate and unite efforts to eliminate the sources of terrorism and continue to build to show the world that we can manage our country and make it a model for brotherhood, peace and democracy. He added that sleeper cells and other mercenary groups aimed at creating sedition between our people and the spread of insecurity. "

He stressed that the security forces are working hard to eliminate these cells and that they have developed plans to combat them, and called on the people and tribes of the region to cooperate with the security forces to bring peace and security quickly in the region.

At the end of the meeting, the most important obstacles, difficulties and problems facing the people of the Deir ez-Zor in the region were discussed and stressed that the elders and dignitaries have an active role in organizing the society and solving the problems.
