Mazloum Abdi: We received Russian forces' commander in Syria, agreed to increase level of coordination

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, said that they received today the commander of the Russian forces in Syria and discussed with him the common issues, including Turkey's violations of the agreements concluded and the assassination of Kurdish activists in Kobane. He confirmed an agreement to raise the level of coordination and joint action.

This came in a tweet published by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi on Twitter, in which he said: "Today, we received the commander of the Russian forces in Syria General Alexander Chayko to discuss common issues, including Turkey's violations of the October 23 agreement, especially the assassination of the three Kurdish activists in Kobane.

It was agreed to increase the level of coordination and joint work, and we thanked for his response in working to meet the challenges.

It is mentioned that Turkey, since its occupation of the area extending from Serêkaniyê to Girê Spî, did not abide by the cease-fire agreements that it concluded with the American and Russian parties despite the commitment of the Syrian Democratic Forces to all the terms of the agreement, in addition to the targeting of the Turkish occupation aircraft last month to a house in the village of Helinj east of Kobane city where 3 Kurdish activists working in the domain of women's rights were martyred. While Russia did not provide any reaction or protest against these violations of Turkey despite it is one of the guarantors to protect the region from the Turkish attacks in Kobane.
