​​​​​​​Martyrs' Families Council demands revealing Ocalan's health, safety

The Martyrs' Families Council in Aleppo demand ongoing struggle until Ocalan's health and safety are revealed.

The Council of the Martyrs' Families in al-Sheikh Maqsood and al-Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo city issued a statement regarding reports of a fire on Imrali Island where the leader Ocalan is held.

The statement was read during a gathering of the martyrs' relatives and representatives of the civil institutions.

The statement read by the co-chair of the People's Municipality of al-Sheikh Maqsood and al-Ashrafieh, Roshin Moussa. She condemned at the beginning the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the Kurdish people.

The statement also called on the human rights organizations and Anti-Torture Organization to disclose Ocalan's health and safety in Imrali prison.

"We, as the Council of the Martyrs' Families, will not remain silent about the practices of the Turkish state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison. We will organize events and go out to the squares until Ocalan's health is revealed," the statement added.

The statement also called on the international community to put pressure on the Turkish state to allow the lawyers visiting Ocalan and revealing his health and safety.

The gathering ended with the slogans, "No Life without the Leader."
