​​​​​​​Macron launches military operation against Corona

French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday announced the launch of a military operation called"  Resilience Operation " to combat the spread of the new Coronavirus. 

"After consulting with Minister of the Armies, Florence Barley, I decided to launch" Resilience Operation", which will be different from Operation Santinel, with the aim of helping citizens on the health and logistical level," Macron said at a press conference in front of the military field hospital in the northeastern city of Moluz.

"There is currently a Mistral helicopter carrier in the Indian Ocean and we will send another Mistral helicopter carrier next April to the Antilles and Guiana (to help France's overseas provinces fight the Coronavirus." He continued.

In his speech, Macron called for "unity," saying that "the time is not right for differences and discord."

The French Ministry of Health announced Wednesday evening that the number of fatalities from the new coronavirus in the country has risen to 1,331, and 25,233 cases have been reported.
