Luqman Ahme: settling million refugees by Turkey is a war crime

Spokesperson for AANES considered settling a million Syrian refugees in areas under Turkish occupation is a war crime lashing out at the international silence.

Since Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi were occupied by the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups it crimes going relentlessly on daily bases against the indigenous people of areas under occupation.

Recently Turkish occupation recourse to the demographic change policy  that is to deport the indigenous people and settle in their places settlers from other Syrian regions.

As a continuation to the already crimes taking place Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other Turkish officials announced that a million Syrian refugees living in Turkey would be settled in occupied areas. For this new settlements are going to be built in Afrin, Azaz, Bab, Jarablus, Gire Spi an Sere Kaniye to accommodate a million Syrian refugees there.

In North and East Syria rejecting voices to the occupation project are rising saying the Turkish project is an annihilation one against an indigenous people living on its lands.

To shed light on the topic ANHA met Luqman Ahme, Spokesperson for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria who said:

''it is not a secret that the Turkish regime was founded on the idea of annihilating other peoples and massacring them. It is the inherit to the Ottoman Empire that annihilated different peoples of the region. In the course of a century, genocides and ethnic cleansing operations against the Kurdish people and the geography of Northern Kurdistan never stopped''.

Ahme went on to say that ''those polices have extended to North and East Syria and other areas under occupation via the attacks Turkish occupation state carries out. The Turkish sate seeks to commit new crimes and massacres against the Kurdish people in its indigenous regions and to annihilate it by constant attacks and the ways to deport the region's peoples. More recently new settlements are built to house families of mercenaries and other people from other areas after indigenous people displaced forcibly''.

Already settlements were built by the Turkish occupation state in those areas under occupation and financed by Qatari and Kuwaiti funds and foundations under charities.

According to Ahme, this is a war crime by the Turkish occupation state against the people of the region. Ahme said those adding and abetting the project are accomplices to the crime. ''everyone that supports this project whether politically or financially is responsible for the crimes committed by the Turkish regime. They would be held accountable in front of international courts and they will be indicted''.

Ahme called on all countries and organizations not to be involved in the project and to stand up to the and not to finance the project under charities or humanitarian grounds. Ahmne said this is a settlement project against an indigenous people living on its lands''.

Ahme said there are 600 thousand people living in areas under the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria after being forcibly displaced from areas under Turkish occupation and mercenary groups. ''They come from Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi'', Ahme said in those places mercenary groups were settled in the course of demographic change undertaken by the Turkish occupation state.

Luqman Ahme, Spokesperson for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, held the international community accountable for crimes committed by the Turkish occupation forces and the mercenary groups in areas under occupation saying they are accomplices to the crimes committed by Turkey '' those international parts preserving silence are accomplices to the project''.
