Libyan tribes ask Sisi for Egyptian army’s intervention if Sirte was attacked

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received today the sheikhs and notables of the Libyan tribes, and held the meeting between the president and the delegation of the Libyan tribes, under the slogan "Egypt and Libya .. one people and one destiny."

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed to the sheikhs and notables of the Libyan tribes that the primary goal of the Egyptian efforts at all levels towards Libya is to activate the free will of the Libyan people for a better future for their country and for future generations of their children.

The head of the Supreme Council confirmed the sheikhs and notables of the Libyan tribes, that the tribes demanded President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to intervene the Egyptian army if the attack on Sirte was launched.

He added in press statements: "If Turkey and the militias continue to interfere in Libyan affairs, the Egyptian side will interfere."
