The Kongra Star in the city of Tripoli in Lebanon issued a statement in which they announced their solidarity with the resistance of the parliamentarian Leyla Guven who has been on hunger strike for 118 days.
The statement was read by the member of Kongra Star Suzdar Hajji, and it included,
"In the name of the Kurdish women in Tripoli, we salute the resistance of the parliamentarian Leyla Guven and all her comrades who are on hunger strike to demand the lifting of the isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan. We confirm that their demands are our demands, reject this isolation and will not accept life without the leader.
Because the freedom of the leader is the freedom of women and the freedom of women is the freedom of the society, we send our salute to Leyla Guven, support and salute her heroic resistance."
