Lavrov: Military confrontations in Syria ended except for Idlib, NE Syria

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov indicated that the military confrontations in Syria have ended, with the exception of Idlib and northern and eastern Syria.

"The military confrontation between the Syrian government and the opposition has ended, and what remains of the hot spots are Idlib and the Euphrates region, where U.S. forces are stationed," Lavrov said in an interview with Al Arabiya Network.

Lavrov added that his country supports Saudi Arabia's efforts to enhance dialogue and understanding in southern Yemen, as well as the U.N. envoy's proposals for a solution in Yemen.

Sergey Lavrov said that the NATO aggression in 2011 caused a disaster in Libya, stressing that Libya caused a terrible headache to several international parties.

Lavrov added that we consulted with Turkey for a ceasefire in Libya, pointing out that some countries do not want the Libyan crisis to end.
