The talk of the Kurdish politician Nihad Ahmed came in an interview with Hawar News Agency, commenting on the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s importation of weapons to the borders with Rojava and the vicinity of the Semalka crossing, in addition to the establishment of police stations and fortifications on the borders.
This comes while observers fear a repeat of the 2014 scenario, when the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) dug trenches along the border with Rojava, which led to great resentment among the people of Rojava and the occurrence of protests at the border.
Nihad Ahmed, a member of the Central Committee of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, said, "Such actions are in the service of the occupying countries of Kurdistan and prevent the political solutions sought by the Kurdish political parties in Syria."
He added, "Kurdistan is going through a sensitive stage in which Kurdish political parties are required to come out to public opinion with a unified word to adhere to the gains of the Kurdish people and not allow their loss again, especially in Rojava."
He expressed his hope that the old Kurdish parties would come out of the narrow partisan interest framework and be an aid and support for the people of Rojava instead of seeking to undermine them.
Kurdish parties under the supervision of regional countries!
Nihad Ahmed believes that the Kurdish street rejects the recent moves of the government of the southern Kurdistan region on the borders with Rojava, and that they are actions that do not fall in the interest of the Kurdish people to the extent that they fall in the interest of the occupied countries of Kurdistan.
He continued, "On the contrary, it requires them to open the borders between the Kurdish people and to move away from these behaviors aimed at separating."
"With my personal conviction, a number of Kurdish political parties are still under regional control. We hope that they will create a balance in their policies by placing their partisan interests on one side and granting differentials to the interests of the Kurdish people on the other side," the Kurdish politician says, speaking on the subject.
"The people of southern Kurdistan should not succumb to wrong policies."
A member of the Central Committee of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, Nihad Ahmed, said, “The Kurdish public opinion knows very well at this particular time that these actions prevent the achievement of Kurdish unity. The regional government is seeking to besiege the people of Rojava, and instead of fabricating the artificial borders our brothers there had to open The road ahead of our people in the current situation, especially as it has become a difficult number in international forums. "
Nihad Ahmed stressed, in the context of his speech, the need for the Kurdish people in southern and western Kurdistan to express their opinion about "this separatist project, and not to submit to these wrong policies."
The Kurdish politician concluded his speech by saying, "The government of the southern Kurdistan region should bear in mind the governments that fell in the Middle East, those governments that were unable to recognize the interests of their people and the peoples revolted and brought them down, and these peoples are able to bring down more governments as well, so they must abandon their policies." Far from the interests of the Kurdish people. ".
