Israel's outgoing Defense Minister: Iran begun to withdraw from Syria

The outgoing Israeli Defense Minister, Naftali Bennett, said today that Iran has started withdrawing its forces from Syria without providing any evidence to support its assertion.

Naftali also urged his successor, Benny Gantz, to continue to pressure Iran, otherwise things would change.

Israel has launched hundreds of air strikes inside Syria targeting suspected movements of Iranian weapons and forces, as well as Lebanese Hezbollah militias who are also sponsored by Iran.

"Iran significantly reduces the scope of its forces' work in Syria, and it has also begun to evacuate a number of bases," Bennett said in his farewell speech.

"Although Iran has begun the process of withdrawing from Syria, we need to complete the work. It's still within our reach." He added.
